What is CNC

CNC is abbreviation of Computer Numerical Control, it’s mean CNC is a machine automation that are operated by programmed precisely using Computer Aided Manufacturing Program such as MasterCam,SolidCam,PowerMill, Gibbs Cam, or redirect into the machine by entering G code,it’s mean with the numerical control the machine is moving based on the coordinate, and widely cnc usually applied to lathe, drilling machine, milling machine, grinding machine, laser unit, sheet metal press machine and bend machine etc., For highly automated machine tool such as turning centre and machining center which change the cutting tools automatically under CNC Control have been developed
As early as 1940 the United States in order to produce helicopter blades have to create the idea of CNC milling machine because the machine is in accordance with the XYZ three-dimensional movement in the space and then create the surface, but the manual operation to be so time-consuming trouble so after 10 years of research, The Institute of Technology combines the NC (numerical control) device with a milling machine to create the first numerical control milling machine!

CNC machining Centre

What is the CNC machining Centre? Machining centre  called because the machine is able to do a wide range in the manufacturing process, including the process of drilling, milling, facing, taping etc. Based on the direction of movement of the object tools works, there are two types of machining center, namely vertical and horizontal machining center
·         Vertical machining center process is a process of machining in which machining movement is move from top to bottom
·         Horizontal machining center process is the machining process in which machining movement is move horizontally, right and left and also back and front

Below are an important element of machining center
  • Linear Axis

Generally motor engine of  machining center has three linear axis, namely X axis, Y axis and Z axis, and the movement of the three axes are orthogonal, some of machining center have additional axis for the machining of very complex part
  • Magazine Tools

The lot of cutting tools in the process of machining center stored in this magazine pocket,it allows the machine to work with a large number of tools without an operator ,this magazine is not a permanent storage for the tools, but many cnc machinist keep the commonly used tools in there ,if possible. Magazine tools usually have special position and aligned with automatic tool changer

  • Spindle

Spindle on cnc machining center is a tool holder cutting tools to perform the process.Spindle can be played(rotation) in accordance with desires, but the maximum speed of rotation in accordance with the specification of the spindle motor in use,and Normally most work requires a spindle that rotates at a certain speed, in some case the spindle can’t rotate desirable for example rotation for spindle orients
  • ATC unit

ATC also be called as an Automatic tool changer, used in the machining center to take a cutting tools in the magazine to spindle or take cutting tools from spindle to magazine, so the use of automatic tool changers increases the production time, the main part of an automatic tool changer are the base, gripper arm, support arm, the tool holder and tool magazine
automatic tool change also can be done manually by MDI (Manual Data Input),as a replacement tool automatically
the process is simple ATC are as follows
  1. Magazine prepared a tool that will be transferred to the spindle area
  2. Arm Atc took place tool from magazine and the tool to the spindle
  3. if tools spindle previously found, the the tool in the spindle on the move to the magazine pocket in accordance with previous addres
  • Lubrication System

In a process of machining, the lubrication system is  a very important part, the good lubrication system helps reduce engine breakdown ,Automatic lubrications system can reduce or even eliminate the “how to manual Lubrication” making it easier to monitor and more secure
