The number of teeth to be selected must be such that the resulting chips are properly curled and easily removed from the machining area. Improper chips space will lead to poor chip removal, damage to the tool and may damage the workpiece.

Increasing the number of teeth of the milling cutter is an important way to improve the efficiency of the table feed. For the dense and super-dense face milling cutter, even if the same blade feed, increase the number of blades can also increase the table feed. But the increase in the number of edges will bring the increase in cutting force, in the cutting depth, low rigidity of the workpiece will lead to the occurrence of high-frequency vibration and deterioration of the processing accuracy.
